By now, you’re probably very familiar with our ongoing love affair with ASOS.com.  It’s pretty much impossible to not want anything from this amazing online store.  So, when we got a reminder email about how today is the LAST DAY for Free Shipping to the US (you lucky UK’ers get it ALL THE TIME) combined with a 20% off  Summer goodies sale going on, we just had to click right in!  And boy, after checking out pages and pages of stuff we realized we just can’t live without, we’re still feeling the afterglow of a most satisfying on-screen shopping experience.

Here are some of the items that we loved because a) they were super cute and b) they were a great deal (nothing pictured is over $50 people!).  Oh, and if you’re in North America and miss the Free Shipping today since we’re a little late on the 411, ASOS regularly ships standard to the US for under 6 bucks.  If your Monday was crappy, get your bootie to ASOS and get happy.  You deserve it dolls!

Last week, Manhattan received a Summer preview of the weather and it was a MUST to go out and see!  On a rare occasion, I actually got up and ventured out into the city before 3pm on a Sunday.  On a 75 degree afternoon, boots were NOT an option.  So, I dug deep (like way deep) into a pile of sandals untouched since last year and pulled out a pair of clogs I bought at Urban Outfitters about 4 years ago.  I remember thinking hard about this purchase back then because I wasn’t totally sure that clog-hopping around in wood shoes would be ideal in this city.  But since they were only $5 bucks on clearance (Yes, I’m a CHEAPSKATE who contemplates $5 shoe purchases.  Is that a crime!?), I decided to take them home.

Turns out they are one of the most comfy pair of sandals I own, and unlike short-people-hating flats, the wedge heel was just the right height to make something else I found that day look even better…my legs.  Haha, this was the first day in forever I let them go tights free and I’m sure they just drank in the vitamin D.  I promise you sunshine, if you come back to stay, my legs and clogs will do our very very best to get up early and enjoy you as much as we can!

Mix it up this season and try adding a tribal print into your endless repertoire of Spring florals!  We seem to come across these warrior-esque wonders so frequently when we’re out thrifting that we are almost inclined to think people might be a little scared to give them a go.  And it’s not that we don’t looove having easy access to such a fun find, but we just can’t understand why anyone would want to leave these unique little numbers behind!  But hey, hard as it may be for us to believe, we also know that scavenging a thrift store or flea market isn’t for everyone so we did a thorough cyberspace search to find the very best new versions of this wild printed bunch.  We are happy to report that our cybersearch proved to be a success and lots of great tribal alternatives are on the loose.  Enjoy the hunt!

Here at Closet Obsession we believe in being 100% proactive!  There was no email of any kind notifying us of a great sale at Urban Outfitters, but as the obsessed shoppers that we are, we just happen to look…everyday!  What?  Is that weird?  So, today, when we clicked on that great big “SALE” button, we were excited to see plenty of worthy $9.99-$19.99 items.  It was so good that we had to immediately report to you!  As with most sales, sizes are scarce, so hurry and stock up on bodysuits, tights and a ton of other great bargain items…

Raissa, Los Angeles

Why me?!?  Doesn’t Urban know I’m vulnerable when it comes to bodysuits and all things cut out?  Maybe they do and that’s why they decided to put so many cute bodysuits on sale, making my decision process tres stressful!  After an hour of adding and deleting items from my cart, I settled on 3 bodysuits that were different from the one’s I already own…or at least that’s what I told myself!  I also ended up purchasing cut out tights and a dress that got great reviews for $9.99!  I LOVE SALES!

I have absolutely zero willpower when it comes to saying no to a Sale.  It doesn’t help that I also have a really bad habit of buying in BULK.  If something’s 50% off, for some reason I need two of them!  When I saw this Sale today, I knew I’d be in BIG TROUBLE.  There was so much cute stuff up for grabs that I had to remind myself to take it easy! And not that I’m worried or anything, but the best part about ordering from Urban Outfitters is that you can return anything for free at the store.  COOL!

I can’t imagine buying a crop top or cut off’s for over $20, so I took matters into my own hands.

I bought a super soft racer back tank from Target for $6.99 and vintage Levi’s jeans from Goodwill for $7. I played nice with my scissors and cut both items to the exact length I’ve longed for.

TIP: Cut. Wear. Cut. Better safe than sorry, trying on after you first cut will serve as a guide on your cutting spree. Remember, once the fabric is gone, it’s gone forever! Cut Wisely.

P.S. Wash often (or don’t) your newly cut Levi’s to satisfy your fraying!
