So last night I spent more on one vodka soda than I did on my entire outfit (not counting my shoes of course)! On my way home, I tallied it all up. Vodka Soda = $8. Outfit = $5. Everything I sported for drinks yesterday was either found at the thrift store, flea market…or just plain FOUND, period. In my apartment building, it’s super common for people to leave their unwanted stuff by the stairs and put it up for grabs on a first come first serve basis. I normally pass most stuff on by, but this denim jacket caught my attention one day because it was classic Levi’s and already had a super worn in look. Thanks Neighbor!
My top, skirt and belt were each $1. Yes I know that sounds super cheap, and it is no doubt, but it’s my duty to tell you that finding quality vintage is also HARD WORK. Any good vintage huntress will tell you that you have to have patience and an eye for how something will look on you when it’s not a crumpled mess. And while it’s not always easy – cut to me this Summer sweating profusely over huge boxes of junk – I promise that when you come across something you absolutely LOVE, it will always seem worth it!
